I purchased a pre-wound warp for tea towels. I noticed that some of the threads in the loop at the cross end were cut. I'm used to threading my apron rod through the loop. The seller told me she wound the warp on a warping mill and it is not continuous as there were colour changes. Is this normal? If I can't thread my apron rod through the loop, how do I attach the warp to the apron rod at the back of my loom?
Hi Barbara, Your just going to slide the warp onto you apron rod and you will probably see those ends in the appropriate place…so you’ll have to tie them to the apron rod. If they aren’t long enough you could tie a tail to them to make them long enough. It is a drag that the warper didn’t tie the ends together to make it continuous. Hopefully you don’t have too many colour changes.
Good luck.
Jane
Thank you, Jane. It's hard to picture in my mind before I actually do it!
