I had a friend gift me with a ton of wool yarn. I was paralyzed about doing anything with it because #1-it was a gift, #2-it's not cheap! and #3-I had zero experience weaving with wool. I finally realized that if I didn't do 'something', I wouldn't do 'anything." So I just picked the one I liked the least ;) , figured the sett, put a narrow warp on the loom, and started grabbing different yarns in different sizes and fibers and played. I allowed myself to not have to have an end result that had to be "useful." I really did NOT like the variegated yarn that I chose when I started! But after a couple of days playing, I learned a lot! I learned that I love weaving with wool. And before it was over, I had a beautiful scarf that I won't mind wearing.
All this to say--just do something! Anything! You'll find your groove again. :)
