I weave on a Glimåkra contramarsj floor loom. If I am doing plain weave (i.e. using only 2 treadles) I usually stand. Four shaft weaving is a little tricky, but doable. Anything greater than 4 shafts I sit. Is this odd? If I raise the seat, then the treadling is not good, if I lower the seat, then my reach is not good. I am short. Does anyone else stand using a floor loom?

I recently got a Louet Jane and I sit using it. But it's much smaller too.

I don’t find it odd at all. I’m happy you’ve found a way to weave in comfort. It shows a commitment to weaving even when it’s physically challenging. Those of us in our elder years often need to adopt different methods for getting the job done.
