Linda"s scarf

I am wanting to weave the scarf from season 6 episode 1 . it is Linda's scarf for which there is a pdg and draft. However, I am confused about the treadling. it says to weave the body of the scarf repeating the block profile. not sure what that means. anyone can help? thanks

The best thing you could do first is to give yourself some time to watch Season 6 Episode 1, video 4 - Intro to Units Blocks and Profiles. Have a notebook and pencil handy to take notes ;-) Jane explains the whole theory of weaving with Blocks in this episode.

I totally understand the draft, the block, the threading and treadling. The colors noted have me confused. I see the Sweet Corn in Bambu 12 and the Zephyr in Black. But is "steel and suede" zephyr or Bambu 12 and I don't see it in the color warp sequence or the treadling. Please explain.

Hi Carol - both colours of Bambu are in the warp and both colours of Zephyr are in the weft. You'll find the Warp colour sequence on page 2 and notes on weaving on page 3 of the pattern PDF. The Block Profile you used for threading and treadling is on page 2. Have fun weaving!

So the PDF version I got off the School of Weaving Season 6, Episode 2 mentions steel and suede. However, if I look at the information for the "Kit" version, it notes ebony and steel which is "steel grey" on the Zephyr color chart.....

Ebony
And pewter zephyr
