I was wondering, do I need to purchase the patterns for the classes if I am not buying the kits? I want to work along, but I am highly sensitive to particularly vivid colors, especially when they contrast. (think sage & tea-rose vs acid green & bright pink). I see the point in showing how colors work together in weaving but I just need to bring it down a few notches :). as a point of interest, this seems to be a weaving thing.
most weaving books also have the samples done in vivid colorways as well. :).

You can absolutely use your own stash and play with the yarns you have on hand. In each lesson, if a pattern is handed out, you will be able to download it. They are all PDF files.
