I am having an impossible time with tension problems while weaving an 8 shaft turned twill on my Louet David. The design has a block A which is 40% of the width of the warp and a block B which is the other 60% of 22" warp. The tension problems start exactly where block A ends and Block B begins, with block B building up much higher--there is literally a small step down to block A. I have cut off and retied twice already and am quite close to cutting off the entire warp and throwing it out! I have successfully woven turned twill tea towels before on both my David and my Baby Wolf without any difficulty, but in both cases there were several block changes across the warp. I have been weaving 40+ years and have not run into this particular problem before. Help! Faye
Are you saying that a section of your warp is Block A and the other section is Block B? I'm just trying to imagine what you describe. Can you take a photo and post it here?
Hi Sandra, Sorry I am so long in responding but I was away. Yes, block A is approximately 9" wide and block B is 13" wide--just two large blocks. There is no back and forth alternating of the blocks as I have done before. I will try to post a photo, but can't guarantee I can do it...
