I have a Leclerc Mira. I like it, but when I weave my knees are hitting the cloth beam. This is something I don’t want on my next loom… but I find very hard to find indication/measurements to verify that online. Is the cloth beam higher/deeper in the loom on the Spring or David compared to the Mira? Does anyone know?
The cloth beam on both the Spring II and David is set back quite a bit further than on most looms. It sits higher and further in. On the Spring II it is about 2" away from the harnesses which gives you tons of leg room.....at little less on the Spring I. On all models of the David it is very close to the harnesses. Hope this helps.
Very good to know - thanks! I don’t need much more clearance, just an inch or so. It confirms what I’m saving my money for: Spring II!
