I was so distracted yesterday by the multitude of things happening in my life right now that I did something I never have done before...instead of pulling off my raddle, I pulled out the lease sticks on my 532 thread merino wool/silk lace warp. Can I do anything about it and not waste the yarn? I tried threading on one lease stick back over and under using how they lay on the back beam and I decided to do a straight draw instead of the lace pattern. I don't know if the threads will become entirely twisted though as I advance my warp. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Do I have to toss the warp? Thanks.

Hi Pam, I feel your pain. Guess What.....I just threaded an entire warp that I had lost the cross on. If your warp threads are nicely sitting on the back beam then you have a good idea of their proper order. I would very carefully put a piece of masking tape across all the threads on the back beam because that will keep them in their current order. It is a greater reach to get at them but they won’t become so twisted they will cause you problems. I would put the masking tape on before I take them out of the raddle...(if you haven’t done that yet). I did put my leases sticks under the warp to support them and it made it easier to pull the warp ends to thread. My last warp for the Sea Foam and Pebbles towels was the warp I lost my cross on...because I forgot to tie one side, like DUH!. But I was able to weave the entire 10 yards off with only a few twists that I kept moving back as they came over the back beam. Fingers crossed for you.
