I have a towel pattern that calls for 10/2 unmercerized cotton at 24 epi/ppi but it is almost impossible to find 10/2 unmercerized, so the pattern gives the option of using 8/2 cotton and adjusting for sett and sleying. The threading is for a huck weave and a waffle weave on the same threading by changing the tie-up and treadling. I'm trying to decide what is the best sett for dish towels using 8/2 in this weave structure. Any suggestions?
I would sett it at 18 :)
