I wanted to share a triumph! I tried weaving Sashiko Trails from HW magazine, Spring 2025. A corrected draft had been published, so I thought I was good to go but quickly found that the draft did not work. After pattern picks, the order for the tabby border was out of order, causing the weft to stop short of the borders.
Then I tremembered what I learned from Jane, If it does not work or you do not understand...graph it out! After some examination, I found the answer. Changing the tie-up on shafts 7 and 8 in a few places, then adding an additional treadle to accomplish the tabby hems and it is good as gold.
I am forever thankful for Jane's school of weaving. I am so proud, I feel like running around in circles like Tom Hanks in Castaway!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
