Threads containing 'I’m ready to weave the Buckens & Owls. I feel like I understand when I watch Jane. However on the pattern I dont understand the DLDLD over and over is it saying to keep changing the color within the A &/or B block? '

Hi Nancy, I inadvertently replied to your comment in the general reply below, sorry about that. I would also like to add that if you are talking about towel #1, that particular towel is woven as PW only, so treadles 1 and 6 from page 2, the tabby treadles. There is no pattern block or unit treadling in this towel. I’m just mentioning this in case you were confused about DLDLD and combining it with blocks/units for the instructions on towel #1…

Are you asking for towel #1? Yes DLDLD on that towel is individual weft pics, over and over.
Individual weft pics are what is described. A UNIT is made up of 5 individual pics. A BLOCK is 3 UNITS (a total of 15 individual pics). Maybe that helps sort it out a bit? Page 2, 3, and 5 describe what I just said in more detail. It’s a bit confusing at first but oh so worth it, especially when those towels come out of the dryer and those DL threads have all moved around to form the most magical patterns. Enjoy!

I think so I’ll start weaving and see what I get . It’s the color changes that are confusing me.
