I am weaving a pattern with a tie up for rising shed. I would like to tie for sinking shed so my pattern is on top. Several of the treadles when tied for sinking shed tie all but one shaft. Example….shaft 2-8, but not shaft 1. However…this free shaft rides along with the others. The same for the other treadles tied to all but one shaft. I have ensured all tie ups are correct, no snags, etc. I can freely move the untied shaft by hand. Any ideas? Thanks!
