August is here! What exciting projects are on your looms?

Just finished a table runner for my daughter’s bedroom dresser using all the colors in her room. It was the Autumn Windows Runner from Jennifer Moore’s Doubleweave Revised and Expanded book. Currently using a LOT of color for some napkins based on the Weft magazine Summer 2026 issue dishtowel pattern Chameleon Towels by Veronique Perrot.

Another set of turned twill tea towels. Once I've tied on to the front and tied up the treadles. I like to experiment with patterns of about 4 or 5 inches in the weft. Then I often choose a few for designing my tea towels. I love turned twill.

Current warp on my 8H Norwood. I use handweaving dot net to play with warp and weft ideas and Tim's treadle reducer so I can tie up for turned twill on 10 treadles. You can see the treadle reduced on the printout on the loom and the WIF file printed for reference.

The warp on my Arizona, Schacht 8H is double weave. A derivation of Block Doubleweave Placemats from Jennifer Moore's revised book.

And I'm making a set of Woven Wood curtains (yes, like the 1970's) on my Nilus Leclerc 4H. I'm using up the 8/2 cotton on my bobbins to free them up for other projects. I'm using scrap wood from my shop and making slats using a table saw.

I love your work. You are certainly a busy lady.

I recently finished a clasped warp with 8/2 bamboo - never again with this bamboo - warp threads are far too iffy. Lost two during weaving (thankfully not a clasped one). Love working and weaving on my Norwood 4 shaft...absolutely falling in love with weaving. Thankful for this school

Just removed a Bamboo & Silk scarf from the loom. It is my homage to Yayoi Kusama entitled Purple Rain.
Not wet finished or fringed as yet - as I said, it has just come off the loom.

Meant to represent falling rain - from hard to drops that hit the pavement.
