Happy July! ๐
What's on your loom this month? ๐งถ
Hello Ginette,
I am about to start weaving the first towel from the M's & O"ceans tea towel kit. Is the 1 1/2" of hem woven in the 2/8 cotton or the boucle?
Thanks, Gale
Well I am plotting a design in Parrot because I have been doing the whole Family Ancestry saga of late. I am doing this because I am constantly chuckling to myself whenever Parrot comes up in JST conversation and references.
Why?
Because my ancestors name was John Parrott Cockerell. Can you believe it?
To quote Jane - you couldn't make this stuff up!

Love it!
First posted project, first time weaving linen - hereโs my July project, Lavender Lace scarf but in Green Tea!

Oh Mary, it's stunning! Love the Green Tea :)
I would love to weave a baby blanket, can anyone help where I find a pattern
Hi Sandra,
What yarns are you thinking of using for your baby blanket?
In Season 4 where Jane demonstrates at the blackboard & table, a baby blanket using twill pattern in 8/4 cotton - 10:00 timestamp https://www.schoolofweaving.tv/videos/4-7-4-twill-and-basket-weave-at-the-table
There's also in Season 9 Episode 3 - Diversified Plain Weave we have 4 and an 8 shaft baby blanket patterns in this lesson. They are super soft and beautiful using Organic Cloud Cotton and 16/2 cotton.
In case you are wanting a kit, there's the original JST Baby Blankie, the Baby Hygge and Canvas weave at JST

I made the Canvas Weave blanket mentioned above earlier this year and was very pleased with results.
