Pucker scarf
Hello Andrew - I must confess that I don't even know what a pucker scarf is, but the problem you are experiencing sounds a bit like what happened to me once when I used wool yarns with different levels of shrinkage in a twill scarf. If you used slightly different wool yarns in your scarf, perhaps that is what is causing differential shrinkage? If so, I suspect that there may not be anything much you can do to fix it at this stage....but maybe someone else will have better ideas! If you could include a photo that would probably be helpful. Whatever the scarf looks like, it's still always useful to have a cosy woollen scarf when the weather is cold!
This is the scarf I was attempting . The problem is that the outer wool stripes are rippling and want them to sit flat.
Do the instructions say anything about ironing the outer stripe? It may help.
Thanks for posting that Kathleen
