Hi - I am a relatively new School of Weaving student. I’m on Season 3.

I love double weave! The fact I can make a bigger cloth on my loom is just awesome. So I have been using 3/2 mercerized cotton on my 8/2 cotton projects. But now I’m ready to graduate making a Harrisville Shetland blanket. Do I use the same thickness on 3/2 mercerized cotton on Harrisville Shetland because that is my warp, or do I use a thicker yarn to take up space where I have 2 threads at my join? I am hoping that this makes sense …
