Hello, I’m getting ready to make my warp for the Lavender Lace scarf and wondered if it’s advisable to warp with multiple threads or just keep to one . With 3 cones I suppose I could warp with three at a time - I just don’t want to cause any problems !

It is a linen thing - don't let it get you down!

Do you have lots of hooks to even your warp? I bought a big pack of black hooks and some 20g or so weights a while back and they sure come in handy.
It's been a while but I wove 14 120" linen table runners for my daughter's wedding. It was a LOT of getting to know linen.
My tips:
- Keep tension a little looser than you would cotton. Not floppy, but not super tight
- Mist your linen. i even misted my bobbins and stored them in silicone bags (for a day or two - not long enough to mold.) It amazed me to see how much a little humidity changed the texture / tension of the thread.
- Whether winding warp or bobbins, I always put the spool on a knitting needle and wound it straight off the spool. This is NOT the time to try to set your spool on the floor and wind it off the top.

I hope your warp behaves. I adore linen but it sure does have it's own character.

Thank you for the tips Anniessa! Strangely, it sort of corrected itself as I wove on the piece! I'm thankful that the tension is even now. I'll thank the "Good Weaving Fairy" , maybe she came in the night ; )

....Or maybe the bad fairy had a change of heart after reading your tale of woe! Perhaps you could make a tiny scarf out of linen and leave it somewhere handy for said fairy as a sort of peace offering?
