I warped my new Spring 2 recently with a standard tie up of treadles 2-8 for a tabby weave but it produced a weft using treadles 4 and 7 to create a tabby weave but it produced a weft faced weave so I switched to using only treadles 3 and 8 as shown in Jane's early series on warping the first Spring loom in which she used those two treadles, I believe. Again I have a weft faced weave. I want to have a plain weave so that weft and warp show evenly in a plaid design. What am I doing wrong or rather, how do I get the tabby I want? Thank you so much.
Hi Linda,
Just checking to see if you've managed to sort out your plain weave treadles?
Thank you for checking in. Please see my additional question below.
