I have been weaving for several years and have always said that I prefer planning projects more than weaving them. I could never get into a rhythm while weaving a quality piece of cloth. UNTIL NOW! I watched Season 1 then used Jane's methods for measuring warp, dressing the loom and now weaving. WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE. (Yes, I am yelling... with joy!) The actual weaving is FUN! It took some practice to become comfortable with throwing the bobbin like Jane and effort to figure out when to move my feet from treadle to treadle but once I worked out some of the kinks I was off and running. Weaving, the actual weaving part, is FUN! Whoohoo!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you for the pro tips! What a difference they make.

I came to JST as an experienced weaver with lots of holes in my knowledge. I've been with it from the beginning and I couldn't agree more. My planning was great but my execution was lacking. I was told to lower my expectations rather than gain some skills. My chant from Jane - Be Brave! Have fun! Don't Fret! More sweet spots to comer. I'm yelling right along with you.
