Hello!

I’m starting these towels (which are a stretch for my skill set but are just so pretty!) and the twill pattern that I am getting is upside-down. This doesn’t actually matter because I can just turn the finished towel the other way up, but I suspect I am reading something wrong in the instructions and would like to know what it is. I’m on a Voyageur table loom which I think is a rising shed loom. Can anyone tell me where I am going astray? Thanks!

Alas, there are no treadles, just me flipping levers to raise shafts. I’m starting by raising 3,4,5,8. I’m reading the directions from the top down… is that right or should I be reading them from the bottom up?

Thanks! I just got the lever sequence for the first one into muscle memory, so I will try that on the second towel.
