So I’m loving the colors of Kiki’s Bamboo Scarves and the softness of the 16/2 Bamboo. BUT — my selvage edges keep breaking on my baby wolf with metal heddles. I’ve lost lots of threads on the right and few on the left hand side. I’ve never had this problem before.
What’s up with that - anyone run into this issue?
Hi Heidi, have you gone back and followed Jane's method of getting even tension across your warp? She demonstrates that in Season 1.2.6 - Tying onto the Front Apron and Tensioning the Warp. Hopefully, that will help.
Thx for the quick reply. I lash on my warps and have not had any problems with other yarns including your silk. It’s too late to retire the warp as I’ve already woven a bit and have rejoined some of the broken threads back on. I did tie the unused heddles off to the side to prevent any more abrasion. So far that has stopped any more breakage.
