I have woven 2- Organic Cloud Baby Blankets and am weaving the Canvas Weave Baby Blanket now. I have always had a few broken warps when weaving with this yarn and was wondering if there is a trick to keeping this yarn from braking under tension.
Good morning, Nancy - at least it is here ;-) Don't over tension the yarn. The yarns with a bit of texture to them often don't have quite as much twist as 8/2 cotton, etc. It has to have enough tension to slip up and down as you treadle to give you a clean shed when you weave your next pick. On my loom, I would just lessen the tension by one notch, and see if that gave me the result I wanted.
