Hello! I’m just starting out in my weaving life and am at the point where I’d like to see my yarn grouped in color sequence. So far I’ve stored them in a cupboard, but as my stash grows, some are behind others and I need to dig around and take everything out to have a good look for inspiration. It would be so nice to have them displayed on a wall in color groups. Has anyone made a wall display that works well for them? I do have a wall that would protect the yarn from direct sunlight. Thank you!
Hi Mary, I have a pegboard that I use to display my hand dyed silks wound onto JST's spools using pegboard hooks and rods. After years of weaving, my stash is too large to practically display all my other yarn. However, I do keep them sorted by yarn content so I don't mix us cotton with cottolin, etc. Have you considered using clear IKEA bins to stack on the shelves in your cupboard?
