Hello, I hope there are many suggestions. I am working with Zephyr 50/50 silk wool, I love it. I have used it as a warp and while winding on next thing I know it is sticking here and there like Velcro! And creating fuzz along the strand of the yarn here and there. What can do to correct and or help this problem. It makes such a wonderful fabric.
Robin, what sett are you using?
I am using 17.5 epi using a 10 dent reed. Following the chart. I have a few more shawls to make following this sett and really do not want the hassle again.
If you are using it for warp and weft - Jane recommends between 16 to 20 ends for epi/ppi weaving Plain Weave, depending on how much you want to full it. If it's Twill you could sett at 18 epi/ppi also with the caveat of depending how much you want to full it. Hope this helps, it's such a lovely yarn to weave with!
