I have been working all morning long with a tie-up problem on my Spring 2. Three treadles just would not give me a shed. I had traced it to somewhere in shafts 5-7. I *know* how to tie up the loom. This was not a problem with cords catching, etc. I have untied, retied, searched the internet, retied, walked away and tried once more. Sigh. I just had the thought to check heddles and shafts. I had to add extra heddles to shaft 5 while I was threading. Part of one heddle on shaft 6 was caught in the plastic thingie that holds shaft 5. I must have caught it when I snapped that thing back on. !!! I didn't even know this was a thing! It wasn't a tie-up/shed problem at all. I just wanted to post this in case anyone else ever has a problem and this might be the solution.
