I reviewed the articles in the Knowledge Base on the JST website, and this issue didn’t come up, nor have I experienced the same problem with my own Jane, so I’m afraid I don’t have any insights that would help. You have me curious. Hopefully this was an anomaly, and you’ll be back to happy weaving soon!

Thank you! I was able to weave off the warp due to my clamp "fix", but I haven't put a new warp on yet. Maybe I was just playing with fire and hoping to weave off too much of the end of the warp. The brake wasn't slipping until then. I'll get a new warp on it soon and see what happens.
I am threading my new Jane loom for the first time and I suspect the same thing is happening as I try to tighten the warp up. Stay tuned . . .

Well I had that problem with the cram and dent shawls in the cotton denim. I did see a Louet video that said they have had to replace the pawls on a few of the Janes. Mine looks like it has some wear in a few spots. Hmmm.
Contact Louet directly. They are very helpfull and quick to answer.
