Hi team, I'm looking at two 8/2 spools of cotton, brassard. Do you have an opinion about which of the grays is actually neutral gray. My eye sees the gris pale as having a bit of a green tint. Do you know of a truly neutral gray in 8/2 cotton? Even Bockens #505 looks really pale green to me. Gris fonce tints towards a brown grey to my eye too.

I know exactly what you mean. I’m looking at my color cards. I have both Brassard and JST. The “light grey” on JST looks the most neutral to me. And Brassard’s gris pale looks greenish. Stone has a slight brown tinge. The JST organic cotton looks pretty neutral. Even my husband agrees. With his photography background, he has a very good eye for color and color shifts.
