I'm just getting started (just started Season2), and have accidentally bought two colours, one in 8/2, and one in 8/4. I meant them both to be the same! Have you any information on what will be the effect depending on which I use as warp and which as weft?

Hi Janet,,,,ooooo, you have some great options. You could use the 8/2 for the warp and open the sett to say 15 of 16 and then use the 8/4 for weft. You could make you warp alternating thick and thin and sett your warp around 15 and you would add texture to the piece. You could weave it that way too.....alternating thick and thin. I would jump ahead and watch the episode on sett, that will help too. You'll be fine, you just have to decide which one you want to do. The easiest is going with one for the warp and one for the weft. Either way you have to adjust you sett down a bit.
