I'd like to do the overshot projects but need to substitute the silk and zephyr. I can do 12 g Bambu instead of the silk, but don't know what to sub for the zephyr. Wool doesn't work in my family due to allergies, or in Southern California because no one wants wool here. Would another color of Bambu work or are you counting on fulling the wool in the finishing?

Maybe I should just make samplers in all cotton to learn overshot. I have some 16/2 cottons that could work for weft if fulling isn't required.

They weren't really fulled, just washed and they bloomed a bit. The bambu 7 would be lovely as the pattern weft, if you like bambu :)

How do I change the tie up and threading from sinking to rising shed for the overshot scarves?

Just tie up the blanks, instead of the numbered squares.

sorry, that we didn't use x' and o's.....and yes you are supposed to tie-up the numbers to the upper lamms and the empty spaces to the lower lamms. You have to tie-up both :)

I didn’t mean to sound critical. My brain gets a bit discombobulated sometimes when figuring out stuff like this and as I age it’s getting worse. It’s great you answered so quickly as I just finished threading and I can easily get down there and reverse the tie-up before I put all the bits and pieces back on the loom. I’m really looking forward to weaving this!
