Hi there. I am moving through the online course but go back and do older episodes again the reinforce in my wee brain! I was thinking about Monte Cristo in double weave to make a blanket. I was hoping to have vertical stripes but unsure what yarn would be a good one to use with it? I have read how amazing and soft it is and I would like to add a pop of colour! Thanks

I would use 8/4 cotton....and you could even double it to make it the same thickness :)
That would be a lovely accent.

Oh perfect thanks, I see there are double shuttles!? Is that something i would use for that?
I wouldn't waste money on a double shuttle for the odd double pick. Just put a floating selvedge on the warp and go around that to put a double pick in or wind 2 ends on a bobbins :)
