What is the maximum length a reed can be and still fit in the Jane 50 beater? I need to find out if I have to cut reeds down or buy new. TIA

Thank you. I am hoping to be able to use some slightly longer reeds I already own but I don't have the Jane 50 yet to measure. While I realize the weaving width is 50 cm, I am trying to figure out how much wider I can go given the width of the beater. Thanks!
Hi Jamie,
I don’t have one in front of me but I would guess 51 or 52 cm. If you already have your loom just measure within the beater arms and you’ll have your answer :)
It's not here yet, but thank you. I'll just sit tight (hard to do!!).
