Welcome back kids....to a very full episode where we begin our journey studying Huck on 4 shafts.
In this episode we'll take a look at the gazillion different ways you can draft Huck....well maybe not that many, but a lot!
We'll work with 2 units and learn how to get weft floats, warp floats and lace in those 2 units which gives us 6 marvellous notes to write some pretty beautiful music :)
Combining these 6 elements is so much fun, and we'll learn to read the cloth so you'll be able to figure out any 4 shaft Huck pattern you look at....no kidding! I've chosen to weave the sampler in lovely Spring colours... Crocus or Periwinkle.
So settled down with a nice cup of tea and learn a few things about Huck.
Things we will learn in Episode 3:
-That Huck grows beautifully from Canvas
-There are a zillion ways to thread (which can be confusing) which is why I stick to one method
-That there are 3 main ways to tie it up and weave it weft floats, warp floats and lace
-We will learn to use those 3 elements to create all kinds of other patterns
- We will learn how to read the cloth :)
