I want to change 75 warp threads that are interspersed all the way across a 22” warp. I already wound onto the back beam so these replacement yards will need to be weighted from the back as I weave. What is the best way to do that? Usually I use cones but it doesn’t seem like the right approach. I need even tension on these replacement threads across the whole span of the warp.
Hi Leslie,
In Season 2 where Jane changed those 10 threads in the Asymmetry Sample, I would think more than 10 threads will be just fine. Maybe making 3-4 individual warps and weigh them separately?
I'm trying to think if making one warp sitting on top of the one on your loom could also work, just the weighing down would be challenging for sure...
