Hi everyone I have a question that I am sure that someone can answer. I want to weave a sample (testing yarn qualities) there the left side is a plain weave and the right side is a 5-harness satin weave. Is that possible to construct is some way? I think the problem is that the two weaving structures has an uneven amount of threads in the core structure (5 (satin and 2 plain)? Thanks and Kindly Dorthe
Hi Dorthe,
I'm thinking that you have an 8-shaft loom with 10 treadles? I've played with this one in Fiberworks and with 10 treadles, it seems to work where you would need to tie up each satin shaft with a plain weave shaft. PW would be threaded on shafts 6 & 7. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. I think that both sides would feel different if they are a division of space in 2 design.
