This month, I thought I'd share a weaver I've been helping and watching bloom over the last year, or so. My daughter-in-law, Tristesse Seeliger (Instagram - studiotristessa) has been learning to weave following Jane's guidance through the School of Weaving and some help from me. She is a painter and wanted to add an extra challenge to her work by weaving her own canvases. I've had the fun of watching her add layers to her skill as a painter and now a weaver. I just thought you would enjoy seeing another path your knowledge of weaving could lead you down.....
Those are beautiful, interesting from a weavers' point of view, and worthy of wall space. Does she have a website / instagram account where she sells her work? Thank you for posting about this wonderful combination of art forms!
Hi Rebecca - her Instagram account is under studiotristessa. She has posted quite a bit of her journey there - including indigo dye vats that she used to dye some warps that are waiting to be woven on! I love any excuse to get a vat going - so it's a win/win for both of us ;-)
