July is often a month with a lot happening.... Between all the summer activities, company coming, hosting family and friends - what's on your loom that is giving you inspiration and a bit of "you" time.

Just rolled off 11 tea towels, crackle weave draft.

I'm finishing up the Colour and Weave Gamp from Season 2. So happy with the results, though lots of errors. I still have the spread warp at 12 epi and trying to finish that warp so I can try another lesson. Hoping these links work

Working with lots of fun on Ms & Os (with some wave- lines in peacock), project out of Season 6.
Trying to „play my instrument“ - which I was able to change from a rising shed loom to an easy going sinking shed Louet David III - daily as suggested by our wonderful teacher Jane. Just finished the division of space sample from season 2 and wound the color and weave gamp to put on this weekend.

Just taken off a knee throw in parrot colours. Double width.
Have done some double width before, so I combined some things that worked for me previously, together with Jane's recommendations.
What I learned is, disregard Jane's suggestions at your peril. The fold worked beautifully but the 'slippery' yarn used to help with the fold mechanics was too thick in comparison to warp and weft yarns. So there was too much of a 'gap' when unfolded.
I am busy needle weaving in two extra warp threads into the space, which is working beautifully as a solution to my unthinkingness!
I now will have a balanced plain weave in the join. Whew!
