Has the pattern been updated? I followed the threading for the eight-shaft version, but something is not right with my tie-up. I'm just wondering if I need to go back and re-thread the heddles and the reed.
The threading is very simple and repetitive - sometimes, I get lost in my thoughts and can mess up threading a simple warp whereas with a more challenging one, I do have to pay attention! It should be easy to check - without unthreading anything, unless necessary. Loosen up your warp a wee tad to give you a bit of space to check. However, the tie-up is more complicated in order to give you more options when weaving. Have you gone back to check to see it all is in order there????
Hi Sondra,
Yes, I have checked everything at least five times. I am weaving on a 63 inch vertical countermarch loom and it appears that treadles 4and 5, I believe, I am not near the loom right now, do not have enough weight on them because when I step on them they each tilt down as if they are not balanced and I can’t get a shed.
Hummm - that’s a loom issue - hopefully someone with experience on your type of loom can weigh in with some ideas on how to fix it!
