Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing the top shed on my countermarch floor loom? The bottom shed is always good so I can weave, but I typically have some threads that are too low or too high; I am not sure if the lower threads need to rise or the higher threads need to lower. I don't have this problem so much when I use four shafts, more so when I use eight shafts.
Have you had a chance to check our Knowledge Base? There is a popular Q&A on warping a Counter-Marche loom that might help you. Let us know if that helps....
Thank you Sandra, I took a look at your suggestion. I don't have a problem with understanding the tie up for a countermarch loom. There aren't any twisting threads or threads that have not been threaded properly. It is adjusting the top of the shed so that it is even like the bottom. I can adjust the bottom threads when I need to, but when it comes to the top threads I am missing something in terms of understanding the top of the shed. I can weave without any problems. I don't need the top shed to be even I just want a clean top and bottom shed.
What's the make of your counter-marche loom, Tricia? They are not always quite the same and it would help if we knew which one you are using....
