This kit calls for an 8 dent reed. I have a 6 dent How do I substitute and still follow the pattern of
44 ends leave one empty dent then sley 2 ends together for one dent and leave one empty dent
This gets repeated.
Have you downloaded the Reed Substitution Chart from the bottom of the Jane Stafford Textiles websites. If you can't get hold of an 8 dent reed (it's a reed that is useful to have on hand) - you could thread your 6 dent reed using 1-1-2 as shown on the chart. It will slightly change the outcome of your blankie but you should be fine.
But Bethany needs 44 epi or is that a typo
It’s sley 44 ends - not 44 epi. If Bethany had an 8 dent reed - she would sley 1 end per dent.
Ha! I read namcy’s reply..
Best not to read posts when trying to fall asleep!
I woke up thinking, what blanket requires 44 epi
Exactly But I think I have a plan
Now We will see
