The warp for the Tuscan Twill Tea Towel Kit calls for 443 ends. Should I just add another end when making the warp, wind it on the beam, and then just drop one end off the back while weaving? Will this cause any problem with tension? - Thanks
If you warp back to front, you have loops around the back apron rod. If you drop one thread of a loop off the back after you wind on, when you get towards the end of your weaving, the thread that doesn't have it's loop tied up will go slack.
I often just go ahead and thread the extra thread in the pattern progression, or double the thread in the outside heddle.
Thanks, Cheryl. I do warp back to front. In the past, I have just added an extra thread too, but this pattern is a twill and I thought the extra thread might change the look. I didn't think about doubling the thread in the outside heddle. I think that's what I'll try.
Where can I find the Tuscan Twill Kit?
I ordered it through the web site. I believe this is the link - https://janestaffordtextiles.com/product/tuscan-twill-tea-towel-kit/.
