I am weaving Rebecca Logan's towels woven in Swedish Lace and Huck which I understand were part of the Show and Tell for Jane's episode in 2021 on Laces. I completed towel 1 with no problem (Swedish Lace) and following the same tie up and treadling have started towel 2 (Swedish Lace and Huck). But I keep encountering a problem when I am weaving and treadling plain weave. I keep getting warp floats in one section of the cloth. I can''t figure out what is causing the floats since I haven't changed anything. I've attached a picture which shows where the floats are. There must be a simple explanation but what is it?????

I am thinking it's a threading error. Look closely at the heddle order in the section that doesn't have floats and compare it to the section that does have floats.

Diane - if you look closely there appears to be another three floats in the photo that you provided, that are not the same as the arrowed examples.
One is in the lace section and not the PW. The other two are within the PW section.
