I'm about to warp this blanket is for a newborn. It looks lovely, but I'd rather not have fringe or large holes for little fingers and fists to get tangled in, so and I'm wondering if anyone has ever done a simple crochet border on this pattern? Any tips on finishing the warp ends and handling the yarns for crochet? I'm thinking just a small single crochet, shell or cloud border. Thanks for any advice.

I added a single chain crochet to one my earliest weaving pieces to hide my sloppy selvedges. ;) If you’re using a different yarn for the trim, you probably should consider possible shrinkage issues and may want to add it after washing.

Thank you! I think I'll give it a try; just a little worried about the warp ends unraveling. I'll guess I'll decide when I get to that point. Since they will be covered and hidden by the crochet anyway, maybe I'll hemstitch and/or zigzag to secure them, just in case. For the border, I want to use the same yarn as the body of the blanket. I'll likely need to buy more yarn to complete the border, but hey, you can never have too much yarn, right? :)
