Hello Lovely Weavers
I am just threading up the baby blanket and wonder if anyone has any suggestions or advice I may not have in my tool box of knowledge.
I have not used this type of yarn and am quite new to weaving on a floor loom, so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Monte Cristo Baby Blanket - Do you have advice ?
The one thing to remember with the threading on the baby blanket is that you do 6 - 44 threadings The double threaded heddle will fall on the 45th heddle in the threading sequence. You should end up with 274 ends. You might want to look at the communication I had on the forum with Muffy re the threading of the blanket. It’s actually a very nice yarn to weave with and very little shrinkage.

Hi Diane
I did read it, thank you. It was helpful.
Any thoughts on tension? I notice it’s a very delicate yarn.
Actually its not a delicate yarn at all. Its similar to an 8/2 cotton and is very easy to work with. If you've been watching Jane's episodes you'll remember she always beams with an open shed. And there is a bock pattern of 5" squares. I kept count of my picks per inch to make sure I was weaving 5" squares. That is one way to make sure you are keeping the right tension as you are beating. Are you using Jane's kit?
Yes. Live Janes episodes. I’ve watched each a min of twice. Lol. And yes I have the kit.
I noticed when pulled a bit, it breaks quite easily. I was beaming with little tension and a strand broke as well I noticed a number of knots I had to adjust for so assumed from this experience it was delicate.
Thank you, I will ensure the 5 inch square !
