I have a problem with my shuttle going under some threads when it should be going over all of them, on the bottom of my shed. It seems to only happen going left to right. I have tried to adjust my tension on my warp in all directions and it doesn't seem to help. Any idea's? I have a counter balance loom.
Are you a new weaver? The only reason I’m asking because if your tension is good and your warp is flat when you open your shed (no threads poking up), it might be technique. I’m guessing that you might be right handed 😉 because this is happening more often when you throw from the left. Jane demonstrates how she holds and throws her shuttle in Season 1, Episode 3 - You can weave in 10 minutes. (https://www.schoolofweaving.tv/season-1-episode-3-good-weaving-technique/videos/1-3-4-you-can-weave-in-10-minutes) Practicing this technique is so important in getting your shuttle to slide across your warp and also preventing diving shuttles. Hope this helps.
