Hi everyone. I made three warp chains and thought I could count to 20 multiple times to get 404 threads, but as I got to the end of my threading I realized I was 10 threads short..ugh! How do you tension the missed threads once your warp has been wound on the back? I have seen one or two threads weighted w S hooks, film cases with coins, but how do you do 10 threads? The same way? My brain is struggling to envision this. :)
One idea would be to go back and watch the Assemetry Sample at the Loom in Season 2, where Jane changes zingers (zinger, taking out your warp zinger & replacing it 2.2.3, 31:52)(info from the Season 2 Index). You should be able to slip that mini warp in where it belongs. I'm assuming that if you have more than 404 threads in your warp, you aren't weaving with thick yarn. 10 threads of 8/2 cotton (for instance) can easily be tensioned off the back with an S hook or film canister. You can do it!!!!
Oh thank you for that reminder on changing out the zingers. I didn't discover this error until the end of the threading process (eye roll) so it is at the end of my threading and it is 10/2 merino/Tencel. Thank you again for helping my brain envision how I can do it!
