I’ve woven on a 1 and 2. Not to take a sale from Yarn Barn but you could look for a used Spring 1 but see if it has the newer harness clips. With that said, I love weaving on the Spring. I am short so it fits me well. It’s hasn’t been hard on my hips either. I owned a macomber which I found hard but it was older and hinged in the back so it involved more work—lift my leg high then press down. . I have a used wolf pup and even that I find tiresome at times.
It will take twice as long to tie up because you have upper and lower lamms to tie up but a number of weavers have devised ways to lift the loom up so they don’t have to crouch on the floor as deeply.
The only ? that I wonder about is the concept of skeleton tie ups and how CM looms might have issues with but…. I’m not there yet so I’ll worry later;)
Overall, I don’t think you can go wrong.
