Hi Ginette, I don't know where to look to find this answer, so I will just put it here, and hope you can help me.
I have a question about skipped threads on the underside of my weaving. I have just finished Granny Pam's boucle kit (which I loved doing, despite having to ultimately replace the brake mechanism on my old Mighty Wolf after redoing the warping and winding 3 times...) My towels are off and hemmed, but I notice a skipping on the underside that puzzles me. I have had to be very mindful when throwing my shuttle as my right side occasionally skipped in the same place - hence - I was not throwing consistently. I have become a fabulous UNWEAVER as I hate to see those mistakes when I can find and fix them before I go too far. Now, how the heck did I make these on the reverse side? They are only visible on the underneath as they were never visible until I removed the completed warp. These goofs are about 3 - 5 inches in length, and appear to take place over 2-3 picks. I only have a few of these in all my towels, but it still bugs me, and I hope to correct whatever it is I am doing wrong :)! Your thoughts and suggestions please... - Jan

It sounds like there were some looser threads on the bottom when you had your shed open and your shuttle caught them. How was your tension when you were weaving? One thought, I know that having my ‘palms up’ like Jane shows when throwing the shuttle helped me to keep the shuttle floating on top of all those bottom threads, otherwise, holding it on top tends to send it downwards or that's what I have found in the past. By the way, have you repaired these floats off the loom?

You can needle weave mistakes on and off the loom. Thread a needle with some of your weft thread colour. Start 1 to 2 inches away from where the mistake starts, and follow the pattern along (as you were doing the Granny Pam Boucle Towels, I'm thinking you followed the Plain Weave, so one over, one under...). Continue needle weaving the weft past the mistake for another 1 to 2 inches. Then wash your towel and after, you can cut out the weft thread that is the mistake right at the mistake part. Jane has a video on the JST YouTube channel that is similar but it's for the warp, not the weft and on the loom. You can follow her instructions the same off the loom and just follow the weft thread. The video is called Egads, I have a Know in the Warp.

Hi honeywl, you'll find the PDFs on each episode page, it'll be the white background with a page imge and the red PDF symbol, just click on it and it'll download.

i am sorry but i do not see anything like this to find the pdfs. Please explain.

Hi Maureen, the Episode PDFs are on the first (opening) screen of each new episode. The other way to find them is to click on the Resources button at the top of every page and at the top of the left column you will see List of PDFs - click on that and you will find them all!

Under the category of “learn something new every day” - I realized that I had seen the list of PDFs under Resources but I must have never tried to access them there by clicking on them. I’m certainly not the techie in this organization! The only place you can actually download the PDF’s is from the very first screen of every episode - that part of my reply to you was correct 😉

Seeing the Resources page with list of pdfs and being able to find that pdf are two different things. Not scrolling down is my bad but my mistake was starting the video first. Think you might make this a little clearer. Just saying. Thanks.

The new Forum can be found on the School of Weaving website but not the app. Click on Forums in the top bar on the site. The Knowledge Base is still on the main Jane Stafford Textiles site - Janestaffordtextiles.com website. The School of Weaving with all it’s video content just became too large to live on the original site! Hope this helps.

Hi ailazoom, what device are you using? If you are using a computer and browser, do you see up above 'Browse' or 'Seasons'. If so, click on either of them. The Browse will take you where the 5 seasons are in rows or by clicking 'Seasons' a drop menu will appear where you can choose one of the seasons and it will show all the episodes in that season.

I just searched the Forum and found answers that others have found to make it work.

1. I found a browser extension (for Chrome) that will speed up playback! It is called Video Speed Controller. It works on my Mac. My husband says it works on his PC too.)
2. I found a great extension for Safari that lets me speed up the playback.

Hope this helps - at least you know that there are browser extensions available!
