Although the project draft provided was for weaving scarves, I added some width to the draft and wove placemats and a table runner. After deciding how much to weave for the hems( 2” each end) and adding the frame ( 2” each end) it left 16” for the main section of the placemat. After weaving three placemats I decided to not use PW for framing as the dinner plate would hide the lace/ huck section woven. The yellow is brighter than in the pictures. For the runner, I changed to a double bobbin boat shuttle and added a finer 2/16 copper to weave alongside the 4/8 brown cotton.
